Mosquitoes also feed on sugar. Baits laced with an insecticide reach them by mouth, a route that can carry compounds new to malaria control, alongside the nets families already use.

Adding chlorfenapyr baits to treated nets raised the mortality of resistant mosquitoes from 19% to 39%Malaria Journal, 2020
